Arsenal will be sweating over the fitness of Gabriel Martinelli ahead of Sunday's crucial Premier League title clash with Manchester City.
The Brazilian has missed the Gunners' last three games after suffering an injury in the 6-0 win at Sheffield United earlier this month. Martinelli assisted and scored at Bramall Lane before being forced off in the 64th minute.
He was spotted wearing a protective boot and walking with the aid of crutches at the Emirates Stadium the following week when the north Londoners defeated Brentford. Martinelli was spotted on his way to the dressing room when spotted by football.london in the mixed zone.
After also missing the penalty shoot-out win over FC Porto, the 22-year-old has spent the recent international break continuing his recovery. However,it remains to be seen whether he will be deemed fit for Sunday's clash with City.
This season, Martinelli has scored eight times and assisted another five. Despite failing to replicate his numbers from last season — 15 goals and six assists — he has continued to be a threat for Mikel Arteta in both the Premier League and Champions League.
Here, football.london takes a look at whether the tricky Brazilian will be able to take part in the title clash with Pep Guardiola's side.
